rianjali bhowmick is a composer, songwriter, and producer whose creative journey has taken her from the world of domestic violence advocacy to the heart of the music and film industry. after being discovered by oscar award winning composer, a.r. rahman, rianjali began a journey she never expected. her creative approach is deeply influenced by a desire to bridge worlds, blending authenticity with a modern, cinematic edge. her work spans acclaimed collaborations on platforms like netflix, amazon, and apple tv+, where she’s crafted music that not only supports but elevates storytelling. rianjali is also an accomplished film producer, leading projects that celebrate underrepresented voices and connect with audiences on a deeper level. whether composing scores, performing vocals, or producing films, rianjali’s work is driven by a passion for representation, authenticity, and storytelling that resonates with audiences worldwide.

kushal, more commonly known as “kush,” is an audio engineer, musician, and producer. he has released 1 mixtape and 3 albums of his own while being credited for multiple indie albums. kush has worn many hats in his life, but his passion lies in storytelling through different mediums whether it’s on stage as a competitive and professional dancer or currently with his improv teams after graduating from upright citizens brigade; writing screenplays in his spare time; producing/arrangement his clients’ music, or editing a podcast episode or interview to weave a flowing narrative with a beginning, middle, and end.

Ishq was drawn to the medium of film following a rigorous study of Kathak, a North-Indian classical dance form, in which the dancer utilizes movement and facial expression as a means of storytelling. Her desire to tell stories in a manner that could be understood universally, across cultures, led her to study at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and The Lee Strasberg Theatre and FilmInstitute, where she discovered a passion for exploring how romantic and familial relationships shape the creation of cultural, sexual, and artistic identity. Her work aims to explore complex relationships, and the darkest parts of the human psyche. She has worked under and been mentored by acclaimed writer-director Lara Shapiro and filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane, a pioneer in the modern Indian Independent film movement. Her short films have been screened and awarded globally. Her work has been recognized at Chicago South Asian Film Festival, International South Asian Film Festival, and was a Semi-Finalist at the Academy-Award and BAFTA Qualifying Flickers Rhode Island Film Festival. As a writer, her work has been recognized by the LA Femme International Film Festival and Screencraft and was recently recognized among the top 5% of projects on TheBlackList.

She is currently serving as the writer/director for Portrait, an MMT production starring HBO’s Thomas Sadoski.

nithya is a sophomore at unc chapel hill studying media and journalism & computer science. she has described herself as a “creative” for as long as she can remember. from carnatic music to acappella teams, film creations with cousins to event trailer productions, writing for newspapers to building sets—she continues to explore art of all kinds. most recently, a conversation inspired her to use her art to tell stories that matter. in pursuit of telling these stories, often hidden in phone calls with grandparents, conversations with uber drivers, or an untouched book on the shelf, she discovered her place with mmt.
